The majority of the Ribbons are suspended and move gently as they float in space, responsive to the lightest touch. The Ribbons appear to change shape and flow as if they are made of liquid mercury. The reflections of their surroundings glide along the immaculately polished surfaces, in ascending and descending motion as the sculpture moves, creating a meditative dance.

A native of New York City, David was trained as an architect. He later earned a Masters Degree in Sculpture. He now resides in Santa Barbara.
